Manila Branch (CUB Manila Branch) - Establishment and Commencement of Operations The Monetary Board, in its Resolution No. 576 dated 8 April 2015 approved the request of cathay united co., Ltd, a Taiwan-based bank, for authority to establish a branch with a commercial bank license in the Philippines. The CUB Manila Branch was registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission on 28 May 2015. The corresponding Certificate of Authority to Operate of the CUB Manila Branch was issued by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas on 24 September 2015. The Branch started operations on 02 October 2015.
