CIRCULAR LETTER Series of 2003

To highlight the need to strengthen and vigorously pursue the protection of small depositors as a vital factor in enhancing the stability of the banking system to complement the government's thrust of sustained economic growth and development, Presidential Proclamation No. 358 dated 04 April 2003 declared June 16 to 22 of every year as "DEPOSITOR PROTECTION AND AWARENESS WEEK".
The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas extends its full support and cooperation in this collective effort to sustain confidence in the banking system. All banks are therefore enjoined to ensure the success of this continuing nationwide campaign by undertaking activities consonant with the merits of the proclamation.
