AN ACT CREATING THE MUNICIPALITY OF FLORA IN THE SUBPROVINCE OF APAYAO, MOUNTAIN PROVINCE.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

SECTION 1. The barrios and sitios of Marcela, Bagutong, Sipa, Mabetuma, Buyon, Sinicol, Magurano, Mudsin, Bayog, Catawaran, Atoc, Altamalunog, Papagan, Magurao, Malubibit, Banitao, Daao, Anninipan, Allig, Abu, Lagac, Marimay, Malaganay, Casinitan, Coliman, Esperamia, Tacang, Tabangao, Pasingan, Consuelo, Caguliacoan, Balluyan and Oran in the Municipality of Pudtol, Sub-province of Apayao, Mountain Province, are separated from said municipality, and constituted into a distinct and independent municipality, to be known as the Municipality of Flora, Subprovince of Apayao, same province.The seat of government of the new municipality shall be in the present site of the barrio of Bagutong.

The new Municipality of Flora shall be bounded on the North by the Luna-Pudtol municipal boundary; on the East by the Mountain Province-Cagayan provincial boundary; on the South by the Tawit River; and on the West by the Apayao River until its intersection to the Tawit River.

SEC. 2. The first mayor, vice-mayor and councilors of new municipality shall be appointed by the President alone and shall hold office until their successors shall have been elected in the next general elections for local officials and have qualified.

SEC. 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
