REPUBLIC ACT NO. 5238 - AN ACT PROVIDING FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A MATERNITY AND CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL, IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF MARCOS, PROVINCE OF ILOCOS NORTE, TO BE KNOWN AS MARCOS MATERNITY AND CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL, AND AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS THEREFOR.

AN ACT PROVIDING FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A MATERNITY AND CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL, IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF MARCOS, PROVINCE OF ILOCOS NORTE, TO BE KNOWN AS MARCOS MATERNITY AND CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL, AND AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS THEREFOR.

Be it enacted by the Senate and Home of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

SECTION 1. There shall be established under the direct supervision of the Director of Medical Services, a mater­nity and children's hospital in the Municipality of Marcos, Province of llocos Norte, to be known as Marcos Maternity and Children's Hospital.

SEC. 2. The sum of one hundred thousand pesos is hereby authorized to be appropriated, out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the establishment, operation and maintenance of said hospital during the fiscal year nineteen hundred and sixty-seven. Thereafter, such sum as may be needed for its operation and maintenance shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.

SEC. 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
