BANGSAMORO AUTONOMY ACT NO.16

Begun and held in Cotabato City, on Friday, the 29th day of March,2019.

AN ACT ADOPTING AN OFFICIALSEALFOR THE PARLIAMENT OF THE BANGSAMORO AUTONOMOUS REGION IN MUSLIM MINDANAO

Be it enacted by the Bangsamoro Transition Authority in Parliament assembled

Section 1. Adoption of the Official Seal for the Parliament of the Bangsamoro. -For authentication in the exercise of its acts and other purposes, there is hereby adopted an Official Seal for the Bangsamoro Parliament, hereinafter referred to as the Official Parliament Seal.

Section 2. Declaration of Policy.- In the exercise of its right to self-governance, the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao is free to adopt the Official Seal for the Bangsamoro Parliament, to establish itself as the legislative authority of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in recognition of the justness and legitimacy of the cause of the Bangsamoro people.To this end, it shall adopt an Official Parliament Seal that is reflective of its functions, and the struggles and aspirations of its people.

Section 3.Design, Symbolism and Interpretation.- The Official Parliament Seal shall be in circular design.Two green (HEX CODE:#009966 lines that form circles shall form the outer and inner borders of the logo,with the words BANGSAMORO PARLIAMENT written in the same shade of green over white (HEX CODE:#FFFFFF) background in the upper portion in between the two-line borders,while the word20 BARMM 19is written over red (HEX CODE #FF3333) background in the lower portion in between the two-line borders.

In the center of the inner circle is the flag of the BARMM shaped in shield outlined with the color gray HEX CODE: #C8C8C8 surrounded by eighty boxes representing the Bangsamoro Parliament in the same shade of green formed in a horseshoe shape. The Kris represents the struggle for our right to self-determination. Crescent represents moral governance. The star represents the component provinces, cities, and geographic areas composing the BARMM.Crescent and star together represents the BARMM.An open book with the color light gray (HEX CODES:#EAEAEA,#D3D3D3),sitting on a brown (HEX CODES:#391C0C

#592912 stand, signifying the living adherence of the Parliament to the rule of law,is placed above the Bangsamoro flag in the shape of a shield.

Section 4. Usage. - The Official Parliament Seal may be used in all official acts, communications, and other documents of the Bangsamoro Parliament and its members, alongside the Official Bangsamoro Seal, as may be provided in the Parliamentary Rules, Procedures and Practices of the Bangsamoro Parliament.

Section 5.Effectivity. -This act shall be effective fifteen (15 days after its publication in a regional newspaper of general circulation in the Bangsamoro.
